Daily Hive receives over 18 million page views a month, and it’s gotten there over many years. The rebrand needed to respect the brand’s history and its roots as a local blog, Vancity Buzz, and speak to where it’s been and what it is.
The Future is Notched
Daily Hive has come a long way since then. As a mature news platform, spanning more than 7 content channels, growing to coverage to more than 5 major Canadian cities – Colony delivered a new, cohesive brand to reflect the growth and how the brand has matured – watch out, Vice.
It’s pretty and we know it. But Daily Hive’s content is what draws readers. We worked tirelessly to design a new UI and digital experience that prioritized the reader experience and content discovery, staying true to the mission of connecting users to what’s important to their cities.
